Gadget: Blackberry Bold 9000

When you plug in the USB cable to your Blackberry, it will prompt you whether you want to enable the Mass Media Storage. Sometimes it is bothering you and then you decided to tick the “Do not prompt me again” check box on your Blackberry.

Until… one day you need to access your media storage, but when you plugged in the USB cable, you noticed that nothing happened, you cannot access your Blackberry media storage on your PC.

So here is a simple steps to re-enable the Media Storage and also to make it automatically appeared in your PC without prompting you again.

Send a document as email message using Word 2007

Software: Microsoft Office Word 2007
OS: Windows Vista

Microsoft Word is an easy tool to design a simple newsletter and I have used it since Word 2003. It has a feature that enables us to send email message directly from Word. You can access this by go to File > Send to > Mail Recipient.

Few days ago, I upgraded my Word 2003 to Word 2007. When I want to send a newsletter, I found out that the Mail Recipient sub menu is missing from the File menu. I thought there is something wrong with my computer, so I go to another computer that already installed with Word 2007. But the same, I didn’t found the menu.

After searching the web for a while, finally I found that there is a way to show the Send to Mail Recipient menu, but it have to be added to the Quick Access Toolbar (See Pic 1). Here are the steps:

Batch File Save As using Microsoft Office Picture Manager

Tool: Microsoft Office Picture Manager (Office 2007)
OS: Vista Basic

Microsoft Ofice Picture Manager is a handy tool if we need to convert multiple image files from one image type to another. In this case, we are going to convert .bmp files to .gif files.

I have opened my Microsoft Office Picture Manager and go to Thumbnail View (1) where we can see all our image files in the folder. Now select the files that you want to save as. Currently all my files in the folder are .bmp. They are too large to upload to a website, so I decided to convert them into .gif files.

With the selected files, now open File, Export…Now you will see the Export Task Pane (2). At the Export with this file format (3) section, choose the desired image file type. For me, I choose .gif. If you want, you can also resize the image using Export using this size (4) combo box and select the pre-configured image size. Since I want the image size is exactly the same as the original, I don’t need to change it.
